Grewin's Single flute end mill for cutting aluminum,wood,plastic board.

These solid carbide single flute spiral router bits are made especially for acrylic cutting.

Acrylic sheet is widely known as Plexiglas or Plexiglass, cutting acrylic on a cnc wood router is very popular in advertising signs making industry. But to route a clear edge on acrylic is not easy if you choose a normal wood cutting bits, as cutting and chip removal are much more important.

Standard wood or metal router bits won't do the best result with chip removal and can cause a rougher cutting edge.

Be sure to use a specialized router bit, specifically designed for cutting acrylic, single flute, spiral up cutter, made from high quality solid carbide. Single flute cutters throw out the plastic chips nicely and there seems to be no or little heating, so no melting or sticking. And specialty design makes extra relief behind the cutting edge to prevent heat build up.
